Allegra House - Paihia

Amazing views from the Large Studio Sea View made our stay nice. The only downside was the hill's steep approach to the hotel.

our room was impressive, perfect with central heating, an individual safe, and multi-channel tv, had a great experience. the breakfast meal was super and amazing with local cuisine and cheese and delicious homemade bread. the location seemed marvellous and stunning in the bay of islands. was a characterful base for trip.

it was based in gorgeous building in a beautiful and magnificent location, in lovely surroundings. the staff and the host were all hospitable and helpful.

The views from the private balcony overlooking the bay are nothing short of lovely. The breakfast options are abundant, with fresh fruits, eggs cooked to order, and a selection of homemade goodies.

It's not a self-catering setup, lacking full kitchen facilities like a microwave, so food prep options are limited.

Consider taking a day trip to Russell for a fantastic dining experience, just a short ferry ride away from Paihia.

I was offered a room with breathtaking views on the Bay of Islands. A fully furnished kitchen was great and had a microwave oven, an electric kettle, and a dishwasher...

Stayed for 3 nights in this absolutely fantastic place, thoroughly enjoyed that. In general the staff were HELPFUL and very welcoming. The suite I stayed in was new-fashioned with a view. Could use a dishwasher, a fridge, and an electric kettle.

The steep hill leading up can be a challenge for those wanting to go out without driving.

There's no microwave, just a kettle, frankly unacceptable. I expected a complimentary bottle of wine for such inconvenience, but received nothing. Can't believe i almost gave a good review but just couldn't.

Brita and Heinz were fantastic hosts, arranged our boat trip and serving delicious breakfasts. We loved exploring the local beaches and took a day trip to the islands. The views were jaw-dropping from our room. If you visit, enjoy the peaceful gardens and make use of the outdoor seating.

Our only downside was that we really wished we could have stayed longer. We couldn't extend our stay due to bookings, so we had to check out a day earlier than we wanted.

The only downside was moving to a smaller room after our first night since the larger room was booked up. Just a heads up that if you can, try to book the better rooms in advance to avoid changing.
